Great day on the water at EABC. Winds were quite light and the sun shone all day with Richard in the RIB staying in his T-shirt until the sun dropped. Not bad for the end of October. As usual, the light always gives great reflections on the water and as the sun disappears, the high hillside provides a great dark backdrop for the illuminated sails. Looking forward to the Christmas Regatta there.
originally had plans to do landscape photos but got lazy and went for a Laser shoot from the shore. Really hate shore-based shooting as it is very limited and tend to be a full zoom with a lot of cropping so the image quality is never great. Added to that, the power switch on my latest Canon is acting up. It was supposed to be weatherproof but have my doubts - not sure what to do about it. Posted photos just as a memento for those on the water - winter is here. Topper training blown out at EABC
Big winds today so no sailing. I was really hoping to get a few windsurfers out in Dundrum bay for photos. It was not to but managed to get shots of a few jet skiers close to the harbour at my club at Newcastle. Worked well against the big sea backdrop
Finally finished the Topper event photos for this year with the last Traveller of the series at Killyleagh. Great day on the water with David and Jenny in their RIB. Zoom lens still acting up occasionally - may need a bit of therapy over the winter. Probably hit by one too many waves over the season.
Looking forward to a few winter events and catching up on the other events from the year where I still have a bit of post processing to do.
